Eyeko Polish – Saucy and Rain

Hi Bellas,

Time for a quick nail post. I’ve already done a few posts on Eyeko’s amazing cosmetics and nail polishes. The company keeps coming up with more and more fabulous shades so you know I need to give my viewers a glimpse.

The first shade I got is called Saucy which is a gorgeous, vibrant red.  The polish is super opaque so you only need two good coats.  Saucy swatches a little darker on the nails.  I’m wearing this on my toes right now and it screams vixen.  I remember back in the day I used to think red nail polish was for “ladies of the night”, lol.  That’s also back when I didn’t wear mascara, didn’t like red lipstick, and had no idea what an eyeshadow primer was.  This color will never go out of style and I totally recommend.

Rain polish is a truly unique, sky blue shade.  Excuse my poor nail swatching, it was done in a hurry. I think this is a really cool shade that would look super chic on short nails.  I think i’ll save it for the Spring when pastels are back in vogue.
You can find these products at www.eyeko.com for 3.5 pounds for about $5 a pop.  They have a bunch of promotions going on as well where any purchase of 12 pounds or more gets a free rain polish.  Check it out!

I love Make Up For Ever and this look in I used quite a few of their products. They can do no wrong in my eyes…except for the new Aquarelle stuff (but I may be using them incorrectly so who am I to judge).

The Finances of Beauty

Here’s something I’ve been thinking about lately: How much money does the average person spend on beauty products (makeup and skin care products) each month?  I have no clue how much I spend…it seems to vary wildly.  Some months, I spend very little.  Other months, I revamp my entire beauty kit.  There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.  And I have no idea if I am spending more or less than the average woman.

So…to try to get an idea on makeup spending, I thought I’d put a handy-dandy little poll on my site (I hope this works!).  It only takes a second to provide an answer, so click away!

How much do you spend each month on makeup/skin care products?
Less than $25
$25-$50
$51-$100
$101-$150
$151-$250
More than $250

On another note: my blog updates may be sporadic this week.  For some reason, I’m feeling stressed out and writing is falling to the “I’ll get around to it when I have time” category…and my time seems limited.  So hang in there with me…I’m still around even if I’m silent for a couple of days!
