Eyeko 3 in 1 Cream Review

Hi Bellas,

I’m back with another review.  Eyeko recently sent me a pink jar of their multi-use Cream.  I’m all for eye creams, moisturizers, and of course anything with a little shimmer is always fun.

To see my review, click here!
In this cute, pink jar you actually get a lot of the cream.  I like how’s it a multi-use product – moisturizer, highlighter, and eye cream.  Inside, you’ll find that the cream is like a whipped, fluffy butter.  When swatched, it has a pearly irridescent sheen to it, but not too overwhelming.  I’d actually recommend this for use as facial highlighter on areas like the cheekbones and above the cupid’s bow.   I would also recommend using this as an eye cream but under foundation.  That way, it will brighten up the dark circles but not be too shimmery.  I wouldn’t use it as an all over moisturizer because it may be a little bit too much shine for the entire face.

PROS
-affordable considering its many functions
-multi-use product
-cute packaging

CONS
-maybe too shimmery for some
-comes in a jar, so it’s a little less sanitary than squeezy tubes

Would I Recommend?  If you don’t have a similar liquid/cream highlighter in your stash, this would be a good one to try.  It’s a dupe for MAC Strobe Cream but it’s not limited edition and about half the price.

This product retails for 8 pounds or $12.67.  Ships worldwide with free shipping over $55.  You can find this product at www.Eyeko.com

Caress Girls Night Out

Hi Bellas,

I’m super excited to share with  you pictures and footage of my Caress Girls Night Out.  I’m pretty sure you’ve all heard about Caress…the products are probably in many of your showers right now.  My girls and I partook in an amazing experience that I can’t wait to share with you all.

I’m super pumped to show you all my little video for this girls night out.  I included my VIP girls (Alex, Elizabeth, Karla, Melissa and Saiesha) and I go behind the scenes to show you us going to the nail shop, getting our hair done, to getting ready at the hotel, getting picked up at the limo, and even dancing at the club.

Check out the video!

Caress Whipped Souffle
The whole premise behind Caress’ Girls Night Out was flaunting skin that you’re proud of.  Their new Whipped Souffle body washes help get your skin ready to show off.  My friend Alex has actually been a loyal user of Caress for the past few years.  She was super excited to test out their newest offerings.  I polled my friends, all of which who tried it, and here are our thoughts on the Caress Whipped Souffles.

Pros
-Very creamy and moisturizing
-Bottle opening is at the bottom, therefore Gravity pulls the remaining product down so you don’t waste anything
-Smells great
-Affordable and easily accessible
-Great to use after you shave your legs

Cons
-Only two scents currently available
-If you don’t like fruity scents, not for you

In honor of this fabulous event, I brought my digital camera and flip cam along to document me and my VIP Girls getting ready.  We include super fun little tips on everything from hair, makeup, outfit, to packing your clutch.

Here are our top 6 tips for getting ready for a Girls Night Out.
1) Rub a dub dub, use Caress in the tub.  After shaving, use a moisturizing body wash to prevent dry, itchy skin.
2) Instead of using a comb, use your fingers to comb through your hair to give it body and bounce.
3) When doing your makeup, you can’t go wrong with a smokey eye for a night out.  Save your lips for last so that you can snack and drink as you get ready.
4) To jazz up an outfit, try adding accessories.  A fun waist belt can turn a plain dress into something fabulous.
5) When packing your clutch, just include the essentials – Your lipgloss (this needs the most touching up), ID and Cash, Gum (keep your breath fresh), your camera (to document the memories), and of course your phone so that you can update Facebook and Twitter.
6) Make sure to play fun, getting ready music.  This will get you hype for a night out.

Bubble Babez Review with Mike!

Hi Bellas,

I recently had the opportunity to test out products from my friend and fellow YouTube guru Nikki20six.  She is a true entrepreneur and her her own line of bath products which is absolutely amazing.  If you like bubble baths and pampering yourself on a budget you should definitely check out this review.

Check out my video!

Nikki makes all her products herself.  You can tell she puts love into them by making special formulas based on her friends’ favorite colors and scents.  Her store offers everything from soap bars, sugar scrubs, bath bombs, bath truffles, lotion bars and bath sets.  There is a huge variety of scents which she simplifies by sorting them into different categories – bakery, candy shop, fruit stand, kiddie korner, knock-off shop, man-cave, perfumery, and spa.

If you’re not sure what you want, Nikki conveniently offers samples.  Choose 5 for $6.50 – the size will last you a good two weeks.  I was sent three to try out.

I really loved this scent.  It’s Pina Collada with an edge – mango, papaya and a splash of coconut.  It also contains jojoba beads for gentle exfoliation.

I didn’t see Mango Parfait on the website but this one is a cleaner, creamier scent with a faint hint of Mango.

Watermelon Jelly Rancher is too cute.  You can see the different colors just like the actual fruit and really does taste good enough to eat.  She nailed this scent.

Full Size Soap Bars range anywhere from $4 to $6.50

Girly Girl – This is the only full sized soap bar I received and I wanted to save it for the video so everyone could see how cute it was.  Pink and Sparkles and smells like grape candy- what’s not to love?

Man Cave - Nikki hooked the BF up by sending some products from her category catering men.  Great for stocking stuffers and for tricking your men into proper skincare!  Better yet, they make your men smell gorgeous!  And for all my male viewers out there, this review is for you too!

Hey Sexy Shaving Soap $5 – This soap offers a rich lather combined with moisturizing oils including vitamin e, almond oil and olive oil.  The BF said it’s not quite as foamy as shaving cream but it’s more moisturizing and offers a great scent.  It’s a great alternative to a bulky can of shaving soap especially when you’re traveling.  The scent is modeled after I am King by Sean John – smells amazing!

Desire $5 – This soap also smells great.  It’s modeled after Beckham Signature Cologne.  The bar also contains salt for detoxification and exfoliating.  These products are great because they smell good and are good for your skin too – especially great for guys who don’t have a skincare regimen.

Sugar Scrub Cubes in Peach – $7 The cool thing about this scrub is that it comes in little cubes which you break off.  I like that because it’s a lot easier to use than getting a handful of loose scrub.  This product is amazing for removing self-tanner from your hands – it worked better than any of my other exfoliating products.  It smells so delicious you want to eat it.

Keep in mind, you’ll need to store these products out of your tub and away from water.  Otherwise, they water will disintegrate them and also mess up with the paper labels.
Thanks Nikki for the products and make sure to check everything out at www.BubbleBabez.com

Giveaway! Jan Marini Self-Tanning Kit

Hi Bellas,

I’m back with another review and giveaway.  Today I’ll be talking about one of my favorite lines out there, Jan Marini.  This is my go-to brand for skincare.  Recently they just released a line of self-tanning products and I had a chance to test them out.  This product is great to have right now as we’re enjoying the last rays of Summer and we want to extend our bronze glow into the Fall.

In this kit you’ll get the Bioglycolic Sunless Self Tanner, Resurfacing Scrub, and Hand & Body Lotion.

Bioglycolic Resurfacing Scrub
I previously reviewed this item but i’ll give another quick recap.  It’s a true must-have in order to prep for self-tanning.  The good thing is that it not only exfoliates but it leaves your skin feeling super soft and moisturized.  This is a plus since I skip lotion and usually just apply the self-tanner.  My skin doesn’t feel super dry and tight after.

Bioglycolic Sunless Self-Tanner
The Self Tanner actually has a small percent of bioglycolic acid so that it penetrates the skin more and achieves a longer lasting glow.  I use this after exfoliating and apply about once a week.  I notice that you don’t need a lot of product – maybe the size of a quarter for your whole face.  The formula itself is a white cream that applies very smoothly.  After about an hour, my skin looks bronzed but in a natural way.  My skin complexion also looks more even.  I only use this for the face even though you could use it elsewhere.  I’m so happy that my skincare line came out with a tanner safe for the face.  I’m wary of using other brands’ tanners on my face due to my sensitive skin.  The Jan Marini formula is safe for the face and I did not have any adverse reactions.

Bioglycolic Hand and Body Lotion
A huge part of maintaining your tan is staying moisturized.  This lotion is great for evening out skin texture and healing environmentally damaged skin.  Its size makes it perfect for your desk or purse.  It is also a hand lotion which is awesome so that you can prevent aging on the front of your hands.

PROS
-non-streaky
-doesn’t smell that bad for a self-tanner
-results look realistic
-set comes with everything you need to maintain your glow
-great for those who have skin conditions and have to limit sun exposure, but still want a natural glow
-this formula works for all skin tones, you develop your own unique shade
CONS
-I with their was a bigger size for the body

Sun-Labs Ultra Dark Kit Review & Giveaway

Hi Bellas,

I’m back with another review and giveaway.  This one is for my self-tanners out there.  I had a chance to review the SunLabs Ultra Dark Self Tanning Kit.  I was pleasantly surprised at how great it worked for me and I’m also giving you a chance to win!

Check out my video!

I’ll say that I had a pretty good experience with this kit.  I’ve used it for several weeks and it’s performed really well.  This is a great option for those of us who want a bronze, healthy tan without the damaging effects of the sun.

Pros

  • non-streaking
  • applies a nice bronze color, not orange
  • kit includes everything you need to prep, tan, and maintain the color
  • good price for the package
  • available in multiple shades
  • smell isn’t that bad

Cons

  • stains hands a lot, you need a good exfoliator to get it off
  • not completely scent free…after the tan develops you smell the scent of the chemicals more

Would I Recommend:  Yes.  This is the best self-tanner I used so far.  The price is reasonable for the entire kit.  My drugstore tanners cost around the same and they’re not as good.  If you’re a regular self-tanner I think this is a good choice.

You can find this product at  http://www.sun-laboratories.net/best-selling-products/sun-labs-beach-bag-ultra-dark-set.HTML
This great kit is on sale for $49.95 (normally $85.95)!!!!
Use promo code FRSH2010 to purchase the Beach Bag Ultra Dark.  Not only will you get the discounted price but you’ll also get free shipping because you watched me review the product!

Skincare Update & Giveaway – Jan Marini Skincare

Hi Bellas,

It’s been a while since I updated you all on my skincare routine.  If you follow me on twitter, I actually did a giveaway and asked the following question, “What brand of skincare do I use?”  Many of you were correct in that I use Jan Marini products.  I reviewed them a while ago and I still use them on a daily basis.  I wanted to update you on current changes and developments to my skincare routine several months later now that the weather has changed.

I was very fortunate to receive a personalized consultation with the amazing Jan Marini…skincare expert to the stars.  She listened to my skincare woes and recommended a specific system just for me.  To see that post, click here.

I recently refilled my current stock and was impressed to see the new packaging.  They now offer skincare sets according to your needs.  I use the Age Intervention set – it’s all about prevention people!  I have dry, sensitive skin.  Since I don’t have a lot of oils in my skin, wrinkles can form easier.  I follow my skincare regimen to prevent that as long as possible.  I do get a lot of comments on my YouTube page on my skin, and this is what I use.

Check out the new packaging…it’s super chic!  It went from a gray with blue lettering to a new see-through floating containers.  I’m in love!

My set actually included a jar of Transformation Cream which isn’t a part of my regimen.  I’ve actually tried it before and it’s super amazing.  It really refreshes your skin and repairs any damage.  So guess what?  I’m giving it away!
